A Few Updates

Monday I leave for vacation! I will be gone for two weeks to Spring Bay Camp on Manitulan Island - North America's largest fresh water island. :) I will be going with my inlaws (bro and sis laws too) to spend time at their camp. Shane has to stay home to work so we will be apart for those weeks. He may be coming out on the weekends but we'll see. I'm excited to go to relax, spend time with my family and enjoy God's great earth. It's a Christian camp that holds "tent meetings" each day. A lot of people from church go to the camp as well so I'll get to see some of them. I'm really looking forward to a good time with God.

Last Saturday we had a pancake breakfast at our home. We had yummy pancakes, banana bran muffins, raspberry lemonade, strawberry sauce and lemon sauce for the pancakes. Thinking of it now makes me mouth water. After eating, and before clearing the dishes, we ripped up the lanolium in the kitchen to put down something fresh and new...gorgeous tiles! It took about all day...a process that would have been much quicker had a. we had a smaller kitchen
b. the paper backing to the lanolium had initially peeled up.
All in all, it was a great day and at the end of it, we had a new floor. It looks and feels amazing! A great project to complete in a day!

On one other note, I got my hair cut yesterday! In some worlds, that wouldn't be any big deal. But I hadn't had my hair cut in over 14 months. In that time it had grown about past my shoulder blades. I am not sporting a sweet bob that sort of looks like Katie Holmes haircut (after she chopped off her locks). In total, I probably had about 7 inches of hair cut off. Maybe more to be honest. I absolutely love it and am so siked to have found a hairdresser I like!
