Finding Home

You're in the right place.

The former Miss[es] Canadian Pie.

Why did I change? I started this blog shortly after I got married...just days later in fact. That was almost two years ago. This blog had originally begun to keep my family informed about what I was up to here in Canada. If you ever go back and read those first few posts, you will find that I was speaking mainly to my family. I had little clue what this whole blogging phenomena was. And then I learned. Wow!

So, the Miss[es] Canadian Pie name just no longer fit where I was or what I wanted to do with this blog. I needed a change. This name "Finding Home" had been kicking around in my mind since last summer. It is truly indicative of where I am right now. I am living and creating a home here in Ontario, Canada but finding my heart drawn so much to my former home in Pennsylvania. The vibe or culture or setting...or whatever you want to call it...is different here. Wonderful in it's own way...but different. And this is my process of learning to live in it and create my home.

As someone who cannot still work here in Canada, creating a home has become my full-time job. It's why I love reading your blogs so much. I'm constantly getting inspiration on new recipes, decor ideas, thrifty tips and tricks...it's part of me finding and creating a space that I call home.

So, welcome to my new blog. It's really the same. Different look. Soon to be some more content. I've got some ideas up my sleeves. It's more of a reflection of me, right now. And isn't that what blogging is all about?

You'll see that I am still working on filling in the details of some of the blog...such as the labels. Eeek...the thought of going through and labeling all of my posts...well...it needs done. Thanks for sticking with me and being such wonderful friends. Thanks for putting up with my wordy, sporadic posts. This whole blogging thing wouldn't be the same without you. I love you all!!

I love what you've done with the place. Did you design this yourself? Give me details as I want a revamp as well.

I love the new name AND the new header! It's perfect for the direction (I think) you're heading with the blog. Good change! P.S. I think you should feel proud to hang your American flag. I know your neighbors would not only not mind it--I'll bet they'd appreciate your patriotism! :) You do what you want! You're Finding Home, remember? ;)

Just thought I'd say hello! I saw your comment to the ruffle shirt project via one pretty thing. I was just in Sudbury while we traveled to Northern Ontario and on to Michigan and Ohio! I am from Texas living in Canada. Have a great day!!!
